OX Security Named a Sample Vendor Across Three Categories in the Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Application Security, 2026

OX Security Named Sample Vendor

OX Security has been recognized as a Sample Vendor in the Agentic Coding Security, Application Security Posture Management (ASPM), and Software Supply Chain Security (SSCS) categories of the report.

The Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Application Security, 2026 names OX Security as a Sample Vendor across three categories:

  • Agentic Coding Security
  • Application Security Posture Management (ASPM)
  • Software Supply Chain Security (SSCS)

We are proud to see our vision for modern Application Security recognized. Gartner research describes each category as:

Agentic Coding Security

Gartner defines agentic coding security as being “focused on securing software development and deployment utilizing automated AI agents for generating code,” noting that, “To meet established cybersecurity standards, agentic coding requires rigorous security verification and visibility.”

Application Security Posture Management (ASPM)

The report describes ASPM platforms as centralizing “the visibility and governance of application security-related risk,” which “ingest, deduplicate and normalize signals from security tools across DevSecOps pipelines and runtime environments, enriching them with the business and operational context for accurate risk measurement and remediation priorities.”

Software Supply Chain Security (SSCS)

Gartner describes SSCS as protecting “software, developers and environments from compromised code, tools, identities and pipelines during development, delivery and postdeployment,” adding that it “reduces third-party risks through policy-based dependency curation, software composition analysis (SCA) and software bill of materials (SBOM) inspection.

Our Take on These Recognitions

With AI rapidly rewriting how software is developed, the threat landscape is shifting just as quickly. But while tools and needs evolve, the underlying challenge remains: security cannot be managed in isolation.

We look at the software development lifecycle holistically. We believe, these three categories aren’t separate initiatives—they represent one continuous chain, from the instant AI is asked to generate a line of code to the moment it runs in production.
